Hiya,
How 's everyone doing! It's been busy up in here!! *wiping the sweat off my face* A big big THANK YOU ladies for all the support you have given SHOP NHCG! Announcing the Summer Hiatus triggered a stampede to my mail box and I have been replying mails, taking orders as fast as I can...please bare with me if I replied your mail late...I also couldn't have picked a busier weekend to announce the hiatus, my darling sister Mina came to town, you can imagine all the gist we had to catch up on as we hardly see with me being here in Lagos....it's because of her welcome distraction that the shop page is still not stocked*covering face* Please give me time as she leaves in a few days and then I can stock up...
Ok enough explaining already!! Let me get down to my weekend treat; A Henna Hair Gloss treatment and Green and Mint tea rinse. Loved it!
So let's get to it!
I mixed some Henna with what was left of the silk moisture dream conditioner; as I have stated Henna can make hair feel crunchy and hard so you need to incorporate moisture.
For even more moisture, I added the last bit of Herbal Essences Long term relationship conditioner and water;
Then I allowed the mix to sit for a while so the henna could release color, While the henna mix was sitting I got to brewing my green tea and mint(the catechins found in the green tea have 5-alpha-reductase inhibiting properties which means DHT (dihydrotestosterone – the substance that causes hair loss can be repressed and shedding reduced. Mint on the other hand is great for soothing your scalp; Jen from Just Grow Already actually reminded me of rinsing with a green tea and mint rinse after I read her wash day regimen;HERE
I allowed the tea to brew and tackled my henna mix; applied the mix from root to tip to my hair in sections ;
spy my sister at the back :) |
