There are Pomades and there are POMADES!!Product Review; Darcy's Botancals Organic Coconut Butter Styling Pomade!!!
Hi Ladies,
Its the new year and I am super pumped to help us start the new year with the right products to promote hair growth, so my next few posts will be reviews of tried and tested products, buzzed about products and diamonds in the rough if I find any!
If you have a review for me or want me to review any product you have tried, feel free to email me to let me know about it...This year is it....I have talked about the 6 INCHES OF GROWTH CHALLENGE enough for it to have more contenders this year, last year I hardly got any entries in December and it was understandable as most readers didn't start the challenge at the start of the year BUT THIS YEAR, I am itchingggg to find a winner...this time with my flagship store open and all the products at the winner's disposal, the gratification of getting $100 worth of products will be instant...what are you waiting for, if you don't already own one, MAKE A LENGTH CHECK T-SHIRT!! See steps HERE
Step 2 is to send me your starting pictures to enter to win the $100- send starting pic to daboju@yahoo.com and then you are in!!
Now to my review; thanks to you my dear readers, I have been introduced to products I never knew existed, some have been a success and some have flopped! This Darcy's Botanical Organic Coconut Butter Styling Pomade has been an absolute success!!!
Ingredients; Organic Virgin Coconut oil, Peach Kernel Oil, Beeswax and Vitamin E.
When I saw beeswax I wasn't thrilled but after using this product and seeing how it simply is absorbed by my hair strands without overly greasing and weighing them down like those mineral oil based pomades like Blue Magic, I assume that the quantity of the beeswax in this product is moderate.
Will I recommend this product? Absolutely!! I will recommend it over pure coconut oil for the simple reason given above, it does not get as hard rock as coconut oil when cold, making it easy to glide on my hair. I have had it since October so it has lasted quite a bit mainly because I don't use too much at a time and I focus application on the tips of my hair. Coconut oil is one of the only oils that strengthens and conditions at the same time as it is absorbed into the hair shaft. So there, I love it!!
In other news, this month is big for me, by God's grace the launch happens in a few weeks and as I mentioned in a prior post, there will be an appointment only salon set up in the store and thanks to one of you my dear readers, I was reminded of a really great hair steamer I had seen on the Just Grow Already blog called the Huetiful Steamer;
Anyone else ever heard of it? Well from reviews its proven to deeply moisturize and hydrate natural, transitioning and relaxed hair! We will be offering Hydration treatments at the salon and when the import window opens, getting one for at home use remains an option.
Other brands you are sure to see include; Hairfinity, Tresemme Naturals, Cantu, Tropical Isle Living, Giovanni, Mane n Tail, Now oils...All at your disposal! I am sure you can tell that I am super excited :)
Thanks for your support ladies, hope I continue to enjoy it in the new year!! Lagos readers please if you or anyone you know is interested in being a sales rep for a hair/beauty establishment like ourselves, please send the CV or contact details to me via email- daboju@yahoo.com.
