3 POWER FRUITS FOR HAIR GROWTH!!!

How's everyone doing?! I have been going back to the basics when it comes to hair care lately. As we all know healthy hair starts from our insides before reflecting on the outside, so what you ingest can either promote or frustrate your healthy hair endeavors.

I am here to present to you 3 fruits that should be part of your diet if you want healthy long hair!!

1. The Watermelon!!
Don't you just love a juicy red watermelon?!! Watermelons are composed of 92% water and we all know that water equals moisture and moisture generally equals less breakage! This refreshing fruit also contains lots of nutrients like vitamin A, B6 and C which are all essential for healthy hair. It is also packed with anti-oxidants which help the immune system function properly. Finally it has an abundance of Arginine, an animo acid that helps with blood circulation to the scalp!! More blood circulation to the scalp = More growth!!








2. The Avocado- Every hairlista knows that this fruit is an essential for hair growth, we all have seen hair masks like these ones I made HERE  and HERE, I have used the oil and love it but now let's focus on actually ingesting it. This fruit is packed with fatty acids which help nourish the body and promote shine to the hair. It also contains essential vitamins for healthy hair like Vitamin B and C. Eating it with foods that contain the anti oxidant called Lycopene helps to aid faster absorption of nutrients in the body. Faster absorption = faster hair growth!!


3. The Banana- Can anyone actually just have one banana and be done with it? Hardly ever!!! Who loves a banana and G-nut combo!!! Mad sturvs!! lol!! Anyways back to hair care!! Bananas are a great source of vitamins and essential nutrients such as potassium, Vitamin A, B6 and C, Magnesium all work together to restore moisture to the hair shaft and repair damage. It helps promote hair elasticity which leads to less split ends and breakage. Eat bananas with caution though because of their natural sugars which can lead to weight gain.

  1. I love love love water melons! eat them almost everyday. Avo's too when they r in season. I dont quite like bananas but they make the most amazing pre-poo EVER!!!! They loosen my 4c curls and make finger detangling soooo easy! my hand goes through my hair so easily and I have super soft, stretched hair for a week until the next washday over the weekend again.
