So today is my birthday and I am very grateful to God for keeping and preserving me!Well today was really chill, I had this brilliant idea to dye a small section of the front of my hair, I guess the hair color bug came after me again! So I went out and bought dark and lovely's hair color in Red hot rhythm
 So unfortunately for me, this color is anything but hot on my hair, It barely showed :(
BUT I was not about to let that get me down!I was also not about to let my edges get in the way (I am about 6weeks post relaxer) so I purchased the Organics root stimulator edge control for the first time;


AND I LOVE IT!!!My edges went from;


TO;
 And best of all it did not leave my edges hard and flaky as it promises!!!


So with a Smile, surrounded by loved ones, I enjoyed my day!!!

Its been a minute!how are you all doing? Well I am well, just taking each day a step at a time. I wanna start out by saying, I FEEL LEFT OUT!!!!*CRYING PROFUSELY*

WHY? Well I have noticed that most bloggers are in blogging communities, know themselves, meet up and pretty much do fun stuff. I am on the other hand all by myself in this blog world well because I pretty much stumbled upon blogging and my interest when I began this blog wasn't blogging for the sake of it but an actual need to get hair information to as many that wanted it. Now most of my information is out there, I wanna have fun with this blogging thing, I want to sit back and read interesting blogs, make comments, share ideas and pretty much have fun!! So dear readers please suggest fun blogs for me to check out, blogs about fashion, style and of course hair!!

Now back to my topic, I love the TOP KNOT  because its very top modelish and I have devised  3ways to wear a top knot below. First the basics


Put the hair all up in a high pony tail;




Use a tooth brush and smooth out your edges gurl!!



 Now to TOP KNOT 1; The Careless Abundance Knot

Twist your ends round like this;
AND  This is the result;

TOP KNOT 2 ; The TWISTED BUN

Divide your ends into two, twist the two sections;

Twist the two sections together and pin them to the base of the ponytail;
FINAL RESULT;

VARIATION; Leave the back section out and just hold up half of your hair;

TOP KNOT 3; MEGA CHIGNON;

First you divide our ends into four sections and pin curl each section;

So in 2011 it was cool to get FEATHER EXTENSIONS in your hair! Celebs like Nicole Scherzinger and Hilary Duff rocked the trend;

While I took note of this hair trend I did not join the band wagon because I didn't see it fitting into my personal style, kinda childish, rather I purchased feather earrings, I prefer them but recently I stumbled upon this really pretty hair band with a little bejeweled stud with grey and brown feathers and I fell in love!Can't wait to have an excuse to wear this hair band;

Happy new year to all my avid readers, you did not think I abandoned this blog now did ya? Well I am back with a spanking new post!! I am here to ask you, what's your hair resolution for 2012? At the beginning of the year,  everyone makes new year resolutions; I am gonna exercise more, I am gonna pray more etcetera. Well this year I have come up with hair resolutions!!

My first hair resolution is to keep up with my hair regimen in 2012, why? It worked in 2011!

Secondly, I will focus on moisturizing my edges and nape hair with CASTOR OIL in 2012, why? It worked in 2011!

Thirdly, I resolve to keep my hands away from my hair scissors until June 2012 except of course I notice I have too many split ends! Lord help me with this one because I am a sucker for blunt ends I tend to cut my ends off too quick and set my hair journey a few inches back.

My fourth resolution is to avoid heat on my ends as much as possible even though I just bought the most amazing hair straightner ever BUT I will practice self restraint!!

My fifth and personal hair resolution is to be more adventurous with my hair trying out different hair styles and using hair accessories. You see, when your hair grows longer, there is the tendency to put it up in a bun or clip it up with bobby pins everyday  but that's boring, whats the point of having long hair when you can't flaunt it!! In 2012 I plan to flaunt this hair of mine :) I have already started keeping up with this resolution by trying out a hairstyle I saw Zoe Saldana with; Check out my Tutorial below;
So above is the inspiration and below is a step by step tutorial; EASY BREEZY!!

STEP 1; Center Part your hair
STEP 2
Take out the front strands to create front 'bangs' on each side

NEXT; Take a section behind the front 'bang' and braid it loosely on each side
 THEN take the braided ends to the other side of your hair and pin them in place

poof out the roots of the back of your hair and pin the back in place; This is how it should look from the top when you are done
AND Viola, you are done!!!!
