IF YOU LIKE YOU WILL LOVE SERIES- DB'S Coconut Lemongrass transitioning creme Vs Aweni Organics Aloe Vera Hair Pudding

Hi Ladies,
How's everyone doing?!! Hope well. Despite the fact that I have a truck load of work on my plate, I just had to do another post on the If you like you will love series!! Ladies I am SOOOO EXCITED about what's happening in these parts!! Young ladies are stepping up and manufacturing great quality hair products and making life easy for us that care what we put on our hair and our bodies!! In spite of the challenges with government regulations etc, these ladies(yes mostly ladies) are stepping up and charging forward!!

You will meet most of them at the 2016 Salon Day out on the 5th of June and my advice is to stock up for the year while you have the chance!!! One of the brands which I proudly associate with, from the moment when I bought their Aloe vera soap and was gifted another exfoliating soap ages ago and loved it, is AWENI ORGANICS!!

The owner was kind enough to drop off their latest addition to the hub, their Aloe Vera Hair pudding and instantly just by looking at the tub it reminded me of one of my favorite leave in moisturizers, the Darcy's Botanicals Coconut Lemongrass Transitioning Creme!!

I proceeded to open it and was further reminded of the DB transitioning creme, I love the consistency of this product, light and instantly moisturizing without weighing the hair down.

Lets do a quick ingredient comparison shall we,

DB Coconut Lemongrass transitioning creme has- Distilled Water, Organic Aloe Vera, Organic Virgin Coconut Oil, Behentrimonium Methosulfate (and) Cetearyl Alcohol, Vitamin E, Panthenol, Yarrow, Sage, Horsetail, Nettle, & Lavender Extracts, Phenoxyethanol, Caprylyl Glycol (a paraben-free preservative), and lemongrass essential oil.

Aweni Organics Aloe Vera Hair Pudding contains- Aqua(water), Aloe vera leaf gel, shea butter, coconut oil, jojoba oil, castor oil, glycerine, BTMS, Emulsyfying wax, stearic acid, optiphen plus(preservative), essential oil.

As is evident from the ingredients list, both products are mainly a mixture of oils and water with preservatives, I dare say Aweni's is more organic than the DB creme!Which is always a good thing and that's why I have felt comfortable using it on my daughter's baby kinks :)

Price point wise the Darcy's Botanical goes for $12 for 8oz, the shipping cost is $6 making the total $18- that's N5760 without the cost of shipping and handling to Nigeria. The Aweni Organics hair pudding costs N3500, for the quality of this product, I think that's a steal!!

Aweni Organics will be at the Salon Day Out Event on the 5th of June, be sure to stop by their stand to see the variety of products they will have on offer!! Can't wait!!

All the details about this year's Salon Day Out are in this post- HERE
