BE INSPIRED...AYA'S HAIR

Hiya,
Its a brand new month and as I said in my last post, the SHOP NHCG IMPORT WINDOW is OPEN till the 7th of April...feel free to send in your orders via email but please check the SHOP NHCG PAGE first to see what's in stock before placing an order...as for the 'mystery product' I said I want to get this month, Ill tell you ladies all about it in my next post( enjoy the suspense- wide grin :)

This post is all about AYA!! She is a family friend and a silent NHCG reader!!lolzz I was thrilled to find out that she had started stalking this zone and applying the tips to her hair because last week she sent me this mail(Im posting it with her permission of course);

Hi Oju,
Thanks for the advice on your blog, especially the co-washing and castor oil posts. Its really helped alot.

Been carrying my natural hair for the past 9weeks and I think I kinda prefer it to the constant weaves. Would be giving my hair some time to breathe (at least 2-3weeks in between weaves) more often :)

I've attached a before and after pic to this email :) so excited my hair's getting healthy again.

Thanks darl

Xoxo,
Aya

Here are the before and after pictures of her hair after 9weeks of caring for it NHCG style...let the pictures speak for themselves;

THIS IS BEFORE

THIS IS AFTER!!

As you can see THE AFTER(above) is a healthier version of the before, her ends before were thinning, uneven, scraggly and looked lifeless, she has given them a good trim now that Im sure got rid of a lot of split ends and will allow the ends fill out, the ends look very well moisturized and sealed, shiny and healthier looking!! It can only go up from here for Aya's hair!!

Hope you all are inspired by this post! It really just takes a single decision to take better care of your hair, to block out negative notions and conclusions and just care for it! I was at a friend's kid's party and she tells her pal can you believe this is all her hair(she points to my hair) the friend retorts holding her weave 'and this is allllll my hair!!' My friend not getting the joke said no seriously she doesnt have a weave on and then it dawned on me that this lady was not joking because she then says 'oh seriously? its her hair?? wow. good genes, I have to buy mine to look like this!' I truly felt bad...because this lady could not even for one second grasp her mind around the idea that 1. Naija hair can be long and healthy! 2. Those that happen to have such healthy hair could actually have nutured their hair to make it that way...all attempts to tell her about my blog fell on deaf ears...it was like she was saying in her head, 'give me a break abeg! you have good genes'!

So I really applaud and appreciate ladies who have come on this blog, taken the tips I have offered with an open mind and applied them patiently and seen results!! I applaud you all for proving the dismissive lot wrong...our Naija hair can grow and I will keep believing it, saying it and proving it till the whole world believes it!!

Okay Pep talk over, its been a while since I pumped you guys up!! Now lets go out there and GROW SOME HAIR!!!
